DFDS has signed a 20-year contract with the government of Jersey to provide ferry services connecting the island to the UK and France, starting on March 28, 2025. The routes will link Jersey to Poole and Portsmouth in the UK, and Saint-Malo in France. To meet high demand during peak periods, DFDS plans to increase the frequency of ferries, introduce high-speed vessels to the UK routes, and invest in three new ships by 2032. The fleet will include a Ro-Pax vessel, two high-speed crafts, and a dedicated freight vessel, aiming to support tourism, hospitality, and provide reliable transport for islanders, businesses, and visitors.
