Portico restructure sees the creation of three new, industry-focused companies

This new structure will ensure Portico is fully focused on delivering the best and most efficient experience to each of our customers by leveraging the specific, expert knowledge of our teams.

The individual companies will focus on the following sectors:

• Portico Shipping will serve customers across sea-based cargo, short-sea, layover, project cargo, and heavy lift
• Portico Logistics will provide overland transport, and freight forwarding in the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world
• Portico Port Services provides people to the cruise and ferry industries.

The new structure has been created following a thorough internal review, in consultation with a working group of employees, and is intended to aid Portico in achieving its potential through future growth.

Portico managing director Steve Williams said: “This is a very exciting time for everyone at Portico, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for each of our new companies.

“Through our plan for diversification, to increase our potential for growth, we identified the need for three new companies, each of which we wanted to give its own identity and leadership. This will allow us to better serve our existing customers and increase our capacity for new business.”

Though each company is its own entity they are each part of the Portico family, and existing customers will see no change to the high levels of care and service that they have come to expect of Portico.

There will be some change to the billing process, and we have started contacting customers to explain this.
