We are looking for Port Operations Supervisors to lead the operations team at Portsmouth International Port.
The Port Operations Supervisor will be responsible for planning, controlling and executing vessel operations in Portsmouth International Port, to ensure the smooth running of vessel turnarounds and transit calls with the services offered.
The successful applicant will need to be available to work shifts on days, evenings and weekend, with minimum shifts of 3 hours and up to 12 hours per shift, depending on business requirements.

As the Port Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
· Responsible for the management and development of a high performing, safety and productivity driven team.
· Responsibility for ensuring that all vessel discharge/loading operations are planned, managed, and executed in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
· Responsible for implementing the daily operations plan, ensuring that operatives are provided with the correct information, instruction, and training to complete the KPI’s / SLA’s
· Assist with ensuring that all the site operations are carried out in accordance with the requirements of all statutory legislation, dock regulations, and Company operational and Health & Safety policies.

· Proven Operations Management experience with regards to vessel discharging and loading operations
· Experience in using a variety of equipment including Tug Masters and Forklift Trucks.
· Full clean driving licence.
· HGV Class 1 is desirable.
· A safety focused individual with a proven track record of managing the safety of a large team in a high paced, intense environment.
· Articulate and able to use a variety of communication channels.
· Demonstratable evidence of motivating others, whilst demonstrating energy and enthusiasm.
· Able to deal with business ambiguity.
· Strong IT skills evidenced in an operational environment.
· Able to manage resources to deal with an ever-changing schedule.
